3.Design Details
The arc-shaped rounded corner design of Self Rimming Sinks (R≈20–50mm) prevents dirt from accumulating and is easier to clean. The hidden overflow hole is visually neat and practical.
General Specifications of Self Rimming Sinks:
- Sinks are semi-recessed and made from 1.6mm (16 gauge) Type 304 stainless steel
- Basin compartments are rounded front and back to improve drainage and ease of cleaning
- Stainless steel legs are 41mm (1 5/8") in diameter and feature adjustable leveling feet.
- Supplied with standard 150mm (6") backsplash
Generally speaking, there are three commonly used surface treatments:
1. Brushed/Satin Finish
Brushed stainless steel surface is processed by sanding with a belt or wheel to present a uniform and delicate silk effect. Brushed is recommended for home kitchens, which takes into account durability, aesthetics and daily maintenance.
2. Pearl/Matte Finish
Also known as "Pearl Silver" or sandblasted surface, it uses sandblasting or embossing technology to create matte, bead-like fine lines. It has good anti-fingerprint effect, strong scratch resistance, and moderate cost. It is a common surface method for mid- and low-end stainless steel sinks.
3. Mirror Polish
The surface is polished to achieve a high-gloss reflection effect similar to a mirror. It looks very bright and high-end, but it is easy to show scratches and is difficult to maintain on a daily basis. It is generally used in high-end or display occasions.
